Living in Luxembourg is great for travelling and in this time of the year the region is full of Christmas markets. Not only one per city, but each little square has some gluh wine hut or something to eat. Also, the ice skating rinks are really popular.
I payed a short visit to Trier, Germany, to see how the germans prepared for the celebration.
A popular stop is Porta Nigra, this impressive roman gate which also sends a festive feeling having the lovely Christmas tree in front
Going further, right in the city center, the lovely huts had these Christmas themes on top. Together with the view of the ginger bread houses and the setting sun, the picture below seems to illustrate a fairy tale. And this is the second time i get this feeling in Trier.
Also, the Cathedral offers another stunning view having this blue sky offered by the lovely weather, just behind.
